Hello everyone! It's been ages since I have written in here, but there are reasons for that! When I came back from Japan, I became busy and was settling back into my life here in America. I had family obligations, I wanted to see Andrew and my friends, and I wanted to get ready for my junior year of college! First off, here is the big news! The day after I arrived back from Japan, my dad and I picked up Andrew from the train station and we got to spend the day together! It was magical! Andrew surprised me with the most lovely gifts, we went to Indian food for lunch, and then......Andrew proposed to me! After lunch we went to go buy a ring from our favorite funky jewelry shop, and then we walked to a lovely bridge overlooking the creek and he popped the question! It was funny and romantic, which totally fits us haha XD I am so happy and blessed to be engaged to the most wonderful man on Earth! Thank you baby! :D That was a very amazing Saturday, and the rest of my time in Walnut Cre...
The weather is still crazy today; as I look outside my window all I see are clouds and some wind blowing through the trees. I wish it was sunny outside; it's June for goodness' sakes! Also, perhaps the fact that I have been lying in bed with a cold makes me wish for cheery sunlight. I am not super sick, but I have a stuffy nose and I am rather tired. I had to cancel my Japanese lesson again so I could stay home with my sick dad and try to get well! It's funny because both my dad and I have awesome plans for friday, so we are trying so hard to get well! I know we will both be fine; I have plans to see Andrew on friday if he is feeling good, so I am excited!!! So, after Saturday night's awesomeness, on Sunday my family decided to go on a mini road trip to get out of the house since people were coming over to look at it. Also, my dad was feeling better and wanted some fresh air. Thus, we decided to take a trip up to Napa and eat lunch at an absolutely delicious Italian res...
Ooooh, two posts in one day! Yay! ;) Anyway, today my dad took my sister and I to the beach for the first time in two years!!! I was really excited about going since we hadn't been for so long. It was a nice family outing, and we went to the beach that was a large part of our childhood. It made me a bit nostalgic! :) I smartly took a hat and was very excited to show it off apparently, hahaha. :D I had fun taking lots of pictures with my camera! For lunch, we packed a picnic! We brought sandwich fixings and everyone helped themselves. I made a gigantic sandwich full of chicken, Black Forest Ham, lettuce, sharp cheddar cheese, and I spread some hummus on the bread! Trader Joe's hummus is rather sharp, and since I have only been eating my dad's homemade hummus I had forgotten what that one tasted like. I think the acidic flavor is almost too strong, but that's just me. The sandwich was delicious and filling!! I also munched on some Fuji apple slices, yum! The day started o...
