Fun News and Blog Rehaul!

Hello everyone in the blogging world! It has been quite some time since I've last posted on here, and I am happy to be back! I am planning to use this blog as a writing blog; I want to post news about my pieces and updates. As for what I've been up to, it comes in three! That's right, I am a stay at home mama to my three kids! I'm married to my college love who I've written about in this blog and now we are working hard together to raise our family. I'm trying to send my work out and become published. I am writing my first novel and I am so excited about it! On the side, I'm working on stories and sending out some finished pieces. This morning, I found out that one of my poems was accepted by a new online literary magazine called Mothers Always Write! I am so thrilled! Check out the website: http://mothersalwayswrite.com/ I have been working hard and sending lots of pieces out, and I've been receiving rejections, so it feels amazing to get an acceptance. I've changed things up here on my blog and I have to say, I like the new look! ;) As you can see from the post below this one, you can now find me and my blog on Blog Lovin, so check that out! First day back from Japan and BIG NEWS! :D

Hello everyone! It's been ages since I have written in here, but there are reasons for that! When I came back from Japan, I became busy and was settling back into my life here in America. I had family obligations, I wanted to see Andrew and my friends, and I wanted to get ready for my junior year of college! First off, here is the big news! The day after I arrived back from Japan, my dad and I picked up Andrew from the train station and we got to spend the day together! It was magical! Andrew surprised me with the most lovely gifts, we went to Indian food for lunch, and then......Andrew proposed to me! After lunch we went to go buy a ring from our favorite funky jewelry shop, and then we walked to a lovely bridge overlooking the creek and he popped the question! It was funny and romantic, which totally fits us haha XD I am so happy and blessed to be engaged to the most wonderful man on Earth! Two Special Pieces and Great News!

Hi all!  I haven't had a lot of time to write lately, but I do have some exciting news!  Remember how I was writing a book? Well, I took a break for it for a while because something wasn't quite right about it. After talking to my dad a few weeks ago, he mentioned writing a series and it was as though lightning struck my brain. I realized that my book works better as two books and the first one is all done! :D It's about 60,000 words right now and I am still in the process of editing and adding some scenes to help the continuity. The second book is about a quarter of the way done and I'm putting that one on the back burner for now so I can focus on revising the first one. :)  I am so pumped about this and I feel so much better about my book! It makes more sense now and I think it will flow better. I've found a few agents I'd like to send it to, however it won't be ready for a little while.
